Biography:

Émilie Mowatt is Anishinaabe Kwe. She was born on July 3, 1951 in Lac Abitibi. Kiticikicewinan (My Language) (2019) is her directorial debut with Wapikoni. Knowledge transmission of her culture and language matter a lot to her. She participated in a documentary film about the Anishinabe language. She also wrote books in Anishinaabemowin that can be borrowed from the Migwan School in Pikogan.
