A short documentary which examines the artistic journey of the queer Punjabi-Canadian slam poet Robyn Sidhu as they graduate college and enter adulthood. It's an intimate and hopeful portrayal of a queer woman's struggle to find their voice and space to express their feelings through poetry.
Robyn Kaur Sidhu (she/he/they) has performed on national and international stages in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. They have self published three mini length chapbooks, and will occasionally break out into poetry on the street. They are a director for the Voices of Today youth poetry festival, is the Co-chair Communications of SpeakNORTH, and a director of Hot Damn It’s a Queer Slam. They are also a teacher of consent, race and 2SLGBTQ+ identity to youth across the Greater Toronto Area. They are a poetry educator and love seeing youth use writing as a tool for healing.
