Beanie accidentally sprains Elwood’s wrist, meaning the school’s star basketball player will have to sit on the bench for the big game. Feeling guilty, Beanie agrees to fill in for him—even though he’s terrible at basketball! But when Coach Palmer announces that the school will be playing a charity game against a world-famous pro basketball team, Beanie knows he needs help! He turns to Admiral Bubbles, who agrees to coach him but only so he can transform the scoreboard at the sports centre into an electromagnetic device that will wipe out all the televisions in the city. Admiral Bubbles constructs a Biotronic suit that will allow him to play basketball like a pro, but Beanie’s conscience gets the better of him, and he refuses to wear it, leaving the goldfish to trick Stanford into putting it on to win the game in order to set off his device. Beanie uncovers the plot, but he is unable to stop the goldfish in time before the device begins powering up. His only hope is to score a point against his own team, thus stopping the machine from going off, but disgracing himself in front of the entire school in the process.
