When Beanie’s Mom joins Mrs. Prehistoritch in a comical séance to ask Mrs. Prehistoritch’s late husband Ernie, the proceedings give the Goldfish an idea: since humans seem so frightened about ghosts, he’ll modify their Ghost Talking Board to open a portal to the netherworld, bringing back all kinds of ghostly apparitions to cause panic on a mass scale! When the apartment building becomes overrun with phantom moose, sharks, and ducks, Beanie knows who’s at fault. Beanie tracks down his goldfish to Mrs. Prehistoritch’s apartment and discovers him opening the portal to bring forth more creatures. While struggling to stop him, Beanie accidentally brings forth Mrs. Prehistoritch’s husband Ernie. But this turns out to be a stroke of luck for Beanie, as the late Mr. Prehistoritch was a reknowned zookeeper and animal trapper. The two of them join forces to stop the goldfish and to send the animal phantoms back to the great beyond. But to Beanie’s surprise, it turns out to be Mrs. Prehistoritch and Mom who unknowingly capture the wily fish!
