Needing to pick up his thermonuclear device, Admiral Bubbles constructs a replica of a human, controlled from the inside by him. At school, Beanie is horrified when Desmona sends him an invitation to the school dance. Worse: she won’t take no for an answer. Meanwhile, while strolling about inside his mechanical creation, Admiral Bubbles runs into Mom, who suddenly falls for the "perfect man" that the Goldfish has designed. Soon Admiral Bubbles/Joe Splendid has Mom wrapped around his finger. Worried that he will soon be exposed, Admiral Bubbles convinces Mom to send Beanie to a boarding school "where he will be given the guidance that he needs." But his plans change while on a tour. Discovering that the school has an extremely advanced science lab, Admiral Bubbles decides to build his bomb right there in the school. With disaster averted barely in time, Beanie returns home to find that Admiral Bubbles/Joe is still controlling Mom and discovers a way to expose him. Foiled, the Goldfish abandons his creation, and Beanie finds himself at the school dance... now stuck with Desmona.
