For show and tell at school, Beanie brings "the foulest, most monstrous creature alive!”: Admiral Bubbles! When the students laugh at the goldfish, he decides to plot his revenge by taking control of the minds of all the students and teachers... and then the entire city! Meanwhile, Elwood demonstrates his grandfather's atomic hair dryer, flash-dries Beanie's hair, turning it solid. Locked up in Principal Blok's storeroom, Admiral Bubbles takes advantage of the materials to construct a mind- control device involving hypnotic shampoo brainwashing them into becoming the Goldfish's willing slaves. Soon all the teachers and students are transformed into a zombie army, doing the Goldfish's bidding. They are sent to find Beanie who, thanks to his solid hair, has escaped the shampoo's hypnotic effects. Beanie finds a way to wash the shampoo most of his classmates, but he is captured by Principal Blok, Desmona. With only seconds remaining before he is dropped from the school roof, Beanie grabs Elwood's grandfather's invention and flash-dries his captors' hair, releasing them from the goldfish's influence. The water in the goldfish's bowl is evaporated by the device, and has no choice but to rely on Beanie's help to save him.
