In an Italian marble quarry, Mati and Dada discover how Michelangelo created his sculptures. He draws stories with his chisel and finds shapes in blocks of marble. In a marble block in his studio he releases ‘Crouching Boy’. Even an unfinished (non finito) sculpture may seem alive such as ‘Atlas’, a giant who was fated to carry the earth on his shoulders in Greek mythology. He carved ‘Battle of the Centaurs’ when he was a teenager – a work full of movement and filled with many figures.
