The Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica is described as the most bio intense area on the planet. It is also the home of entomologist Jim Cordoba Alfaro and his BioSur Foundation. We join Jim and his team as they take young students from the Osa region on a field trip into a spectacular forest reserve, now part of the BioSur Foundation. Later, we visit Jim's insect museum, "Insectopia", to look at his massive collection of over 8000 insect specimens. Jim also gets down to ground level for an impromptu chat about the marvelous leaf cutter ants in a nearby park. Jim's passion for preserving the Osa region shines through in this emotionally engaging look at the work of a true environmental hero.
