Grade ten student Nevaeh Pine is a proud Ojibwe teen from Garden River First Nation who found her voice in public speaking competitions. She uses the platform to advocate for Indigenous issues, especially around awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two Spirited People (MMIWG2S). Host Anna Lambe joins Neveah to help put together her high school’s first school-wide assembly to mark Red Dress Day. But speaking out isn’t always easy - Neveah has and continues to face bullying for being so outspoken. Following her mom’s advice to never ‘dim her light’, Neveah, Anna and the students persevere and create a moving event for the school.
Warrior Up! is a 13 part documentary series that follows inspiring Indigenous youth making positive change in their communities!
