A travel series for the senses. Postcards from… is an invitation to everyone to reimagine travel through the five senses.

What does it feel like to climb a mountain on your hands? To hear your breath as you float free in adaptive scuba gear? To taste the char of fire-roasted salmon while watching an elder tell stories in indigenous sign language? From culture to culinary, nature to adventure, you’ve never experienced Canada like this. Every episode, Christa Couture meets up with fun and entertaining locals in-the-know.  These locals are our guide to a sensory experience that goes beyond the traditional hop-on hop-off bus tour.  Each episode will contain segments that explore the five senses; taste, touch, smell, sight and sound. Join us on this journey that will captivate you like never before.

Postcards Season 5 is hosted by Christa Couture, musician, writer and amputee.  Christa is an award-winning performing and recording artist, non-fiction writer, filmmaker and broadcaster. She is also proudly Indigenous (mixed Cree and Scandinavian), queer, disabled, and a mom. Over the course of her acclaimed career, Christa has become known, unenviably, as an expert in loss: singing, speaking and writing about the childhood cancer that led to the amputation of her left leg, abortion, and the tragic deaths of her two infant sons.
