A portrait of the man and his work, Fennario: His World on Stage examines the politically charged theatre and strong connection to the working-class Montreal districts of Point St. Charles and Verdun, which David Fennario has always called home. Following his early success, Fennario, a committed leftist, turned away from mainstream theatre, and focused more and more on working with community groups. Through conversations with figures such as Guy Sprung, who directed the first production of Balconville, and Maurice Podbrey, director of Montreal's Centaur Theatre, Fennario: His World on Stage draws an intriguing portrait of this enigmatic writer. Some strong language. Viewer discretion is advised.
