This lively and entertaining educational film introduces students of Canadian history to the story of British Columbia's entry into Confederation. A fast-paced mix of paintings, drawings, photographs, political cartoons and animation, it illustrates B.C.'s transformation from an isolated British colony to a full-fledged member of the new Canadian nation. Drawings and cartoons from the Confederation era come to life, and out of historical scenes step caricatured versions of the leading political figures of the time, who re-enact the events that culminated in B.C. becoming Canada's sixth province.
