What happens to an older man laid off after 18 years of employment? Overwhelmed by confusing emotions, he slides into family violence. This film shows his struggle to understand what's happened to him and to regain his lost principles. Issues raised include: the social ramifications of joblessness (eg. alienation, substance abuse, violence); the impact of new technologies on employment; forced early retirement; and grieving as part of job loss.
