For centuries, we’ve been searching for the Fountain of Youth, magical healing waters to make us young, strong and invincible. For every claim that such a solution has been found, there are ten that are either wishful thinking, bad science or pure hocus-pocus.
In Canada, we have a curious body of water known as Little Manitou Lake - also referred to as “The Lake of the Healing Waters". The saline lake located south of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is purported to have many healing properties. The Cree believed that in its waters lives a powerful benevolent spirit. While it is easy to dismiss the claims of the believers, there is no discounting that those who bathe in these healing waters feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
Unexplained Canada examines the fact, fiction and possible folly of some our nation’s mysteries. Rather than viewing a mystery with total belief or attempting to debunk it, Unexplained Canada presents many perspectives to encourage viewers to draw their own conclusions.
