In this episode of Guitar Picks we'll follow the path of a scarcely known 20 stringed guitar called the Mohan Veena. We'll trace its evolution from the shores of Hawaii to India. Harry Manx studied Hindustani Slide at the feet of Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, the creator of the Mohan Veena guitar, then brought it to a North American audience. Seven Maple Blues awards later, he seems to have found an audience for his unique Hindustani Slide and Blues mash-up of styles. We'll also meet luthier Pete Swanson. He's only made five guitars to date, but he's already gathered a mighty following. At first glance, his latest piece looks like a jig saw puzzle. But when the pieces come together they make a beautiful guitar.
