Through a career spanning six decades Richard Henriquez has woven art, and narratives both personal and universal into his work. His architecture has impacted the city of Vancouver on large and small scales and his work as an urbanist and artist have enriched the creative culture of the city.

Building Stories is a 30 minute documentary delving into the life and work of this remarkable and enigmatic man. It’s also a postcard to the city of Vancouver which is still home to the Henriquez Partners practice, now run by Gregory Henriquez - the third generation of architects in the family. His accumulation of work is celebrated by dozens of awards including the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Gold Medal in 2005, Governor Generals Medal in 1994 and the Order of Canada in 2017.
