Julie se fait gentiment gronder par Viola car elle tentait de capturer un papillon pour le garder dans un pot. Dans les Maritimes, elle fait la rencontre de Passifou le petit fou de Bassan. Elle voudrait le garder lui aussi pour toujours mais le bébé se lasse et finit par se sauver. Ce n'est que lorsqu'elle rencontre Nitap l’ourson qui veut la garder avec lui pour toujours que Julie comprend vraiment ce qu'elle a pu faire vivre à son ami.

Julie would like to keep her new friend, a bird, forever with her. But he gets tired and ends up running away. When she meets Nitap the cub, who wants to keep her with him forever, Julie understands what she has done to her friend.
