Just outside the town of Parry Sound, Ontario, is Wasauksing First Nation. Its only land link to the rest of the country is a century-old, one-lane swing bridge. Like in Little Current, this bridge is falling apart. But unlike Manitoulin Island, far fewer people are sentimental about this one.

In this episode of Living History, we'll visit the former Rose Point swing bridge, hear why it was built, and elder and knowledge keeper Zahgausgai (John Rice), a former chief, tells us what it has meant for his community over several generations.
