The Anthropocene Epoch is the period when humans have lived on Earth – The Age of Humans. Humans have impacted the planet first with agriculture, then with the Industrial Revolution, the atomic bomb and technologies. Hazardous wastes, mining, water usage, warming temperatures, greenhouse gases, and changes to the natural landscape all have negative effects. Graphics, diagrams and video help us learn about the earth’s epochs, extraction, climate change, mass extinction, and environmental injustice. We can extend human survival by becoming earth stewards, investing in renewable energy technologies, seeking plant-based protein alternatives, using sustainable transportation, supporting indigenous populations’ sustainable lifestyles, and organizing to advocate for change.
