Forensics is the scientific analysis of physical evidence collected from a crime scene. DNA helps forensic scientists assist criminal investigators in solving crimes. Graphics, diagrams and video inform us about the history of criminal investigations, including criminal profiling, polygraph tests, the discovery of DNA structure, crime scene investigators (SCI), and genetic genealogy collection. Forensic scientists use fingerprinting, toxicology, serology, pathology, anthropology, DNA analysis, computer file analysis, and ballistics to solve crimes. We see examples of cases where forensic sciences were crucial and where DNA tests proved that people were wrongly convicted. Justice can be served with DNA technology.
