Healthy forests can help mitigate the effects of climate change on surrounding urban areas. Restoring and connecting ecosystems within Rouge Urban National Park requires knowledge from many sources and experts. This episode focuses on the aspects that are taken into consideration when planning on returning an area to its native forest. Beginning with input from Indigenous partners to the collaboration with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority nursery, we follow the process from seed collection to busloads of volunteers from the 10,000 Trees planting blitz.
