Charismatic and eloquent, AMLO, the ex-mayor of Mexico City who is often compared with Chavez and Lula for his populist rhetoric, argues that the Mexican elite that controls the ruling and ex-ruling parties, the PRI and the PAN, have master-minded a judicial case against him known as "El Encino" as an intent to stop him from running for the 2006 presidency.
