XS Stress: Teens Take Control
Three youths tell their stories in XS Stress: Teens Take Control - an essential guide to staying afloat while navigating the choppy waters of adolescence. It's time when youth undergo big changes and assume new responsibilities, juggling school, family and friends. Throw in work, dating, exams, racist remarks and extracurricular activities, and it's no wonder teens get knocked off balance.
Stress: This Is My Life
Drawing on a range of issues, some from personal experience, spoken-word/dub poetry artist Kyra Shaughnessy addresses the trials of disaffected youth with power and artistry. Casting her words to the rhythmic beat of instrumental dub tracks, she takes on a range of issues, from heightened parental expectations to the extremes of peer and social pressures. Interspersed with Kyra's candid interview segments the piece is five minutes in duration.
