Produced by the Ottawa Film Unit of the early years of the National Film Board, Ottawa on the River is both a retelling of the city's history and a travel log promoting Canada's capital. From the houses of parliament to local industry and neighboring Hull, Québec, we see the many sights and activities to be found near the banks of the Ottawa River.
