This film introduces the Physical Fitness Act and the work stemming from it. The National Physical Fitness Council and Office are seen in action, and the way in which the federal government assists provinces and local communities in organizing community recreation is indicated. A local community council remodels an old building into a recreation centre, a vacant lot into a playground, and performs other important jobs that help to build healthier, better-adjusted human beings.
