When the caribou cross the small lakes to reach new grazing ground, the Inuit hunt the animals from their kayaks. Tuktu's father has bad luck with his hunting and a caribou escapes his spear. But we see him bringing one home, and the film ends with an outdoor fire and everyone enjoying a feast.
