Prince Edward Island provides the setting for a summer romance between a girl from Winnipeg and a young fisherman from North Rustico. Their chance acquantance gives direction to the film's explorations of the holiday charms of the Island. Together they visit historic and picturesque sites such as Government House in Charlottetown and Cavendish, of Green Gables fame, on the south shore. The "girl from Canada" gives the young man a new feeling about his island and she, in turn, takes away a close bond of friendship.
