Ever since the dog died, the Snack family hasn't been the same. Dad's taking dance lessons. The milkman's after Mom. They've got a son and two daughters and they all live more or less unhappily in the suburbs. In one eventful evening, golf balls, watermelons and lawn furniture lend a satiric bent to this quirky portrait of a suburban family in crisis.
