Bolivia’s Aymara youth are showing new pride in their culture by creating and singing songs in their own language. From the country’s first Aymara president, Evo Morles, to its first Aymara chancellor, the voice of the Aymara people is being heard around the country. In 2005, the country of Bolivia elected an Aymara president who immediately put indigenous language acquisition at the top of his agenda.  It’s the dream scenario for language preservation.  Or is it?
