This episode follows the work of a virtually self-taught, highly motivated language teacher. Stella Ketchemonia has devoted her life to teaching the Saulteaux language and is the author of the innovative Kim Kit, a teaching aid widely used in the elementary schools for Saulteaux and Cree language instruction. Stella recently joined the faculty of the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, a unique university-level institution.

The documentary series ‘Finding Our Talk’ celebrates the many Canadian and international individuals, communities and organizations that are reclaiming their Indigenous languages, culture, stories, and identity.
