All the animals decide to dig a well, but lazy Hare doesn't want to help. However, he thinks he'll be able to drink the water after the others have done the work. The animals trick Hare and get him stuck to a root in the well. They free him only when Hare agrees to dig his own well. Hare has far more to do on his own than if he helped the other in the team.
