Bashir Ramathan throws real head snappers in a dusty boxing gym. At the crack of dawn, he's working with punching bags at a club in the Ugandan capital despite being completely blind.
He wasn't always this way. He worked as a dignified labourer until a crippling headache sent him home early one day. He thought it was nothing. When he awoke the next morning, sure enough his headache was gone. So was his eyesight. Destitute and depressed, boxing saved Bashir.
Eleven years later, he's a force to be reckoned with in the ring, and an advocate for the rights of disabled people around Uganda. This uplifting short documentary will remind audiences that if there's something you want to achieve in life, nothing should stop you.
