This is the only farm within a city in Canada but it is no ordinary working farm. The Central Experimental Farm has played a leading role in Canadian agricultural history since it was created in 1886. Scientists discovered the Marquis wheat strain, which turned the Prairies into the breadbasket of North America. They even invented frozen food.
