The meat industry enlists a large number of living beings in standardization and mass production logics to optimize its yield. At a community employment agency, asylum seekers are offered jobs in slaughter plants that will allow them to restart a life they had to abandon abruptly. On a livestock farm, cows, pigs and farmers are subjected to the rhythm of an industrial agricultural model. Outside, only the corn plants that are used to feed the animals pierce the aridity of a desert soil. Resources is interested in the living conditions of humans, animals and plants linked together by the meat production and processing chain. By following different actors captured by this channel, the film observes a state of precariousness shared beyond the borders of the species.
