The HMS Investigator hasn't been seen since it got stuck in the ice in Mercy Bay 160 years ago. W5 joins an elite Parks Canada team as they search for the stranded British Navy vessel.  With few supplies, no archeology gear and next to no food, the Parks Canada team searching for the HMS Investigator faced a number of hardships before they even got close to the site of the ship's sinking. 

It didn't take long to find evidence of the crew of the HMS Investigator's ill-fated journey to the Arctic. Many artifacts left by the crew could be seen in plain sight on the tundra.  Diving 105 times over ten days, the Parks Canada team got a once in a lifetime opportunity to analyze the wreck of the HMS Investigator in great detail, and ship a select few artifacts back to civilization.
