Investigations of modeling agencies reveal that many of them are nothing more than another type of organized crime. These agencies advertise for models, charge large amounts of money for photograph portfolios but their clients are never offered work. A police detective offers good advice: "Legitimate agencies don't advertise for models and their models arrange for their own portfolios. Don't deal with an agency that wants to charge for your portfolio."
