Travis is still experiencing a lot of unhealthy and very dangerous thinking such as self-mutilation, which is often a sign of lack of recovery. Rand is encouraging him to go to treatment so he can develop healthy coping mechanisms to deal with his stress. His friend Kristen also encourages him by making a pros and cons list for going to treatment. In the end Travis decides it is not his time to go to treatment.
