Gussy, bragging about the power of her snuffler, demonstrates by smelling Barton's socks in the distance. When Barton chides Wilton for not doing his chores, saying they have no vegetables to eat, Gussy suggests they look for truffles in the forest. Everyone joins the search. Barton unearths an old shoe and Conley finds some inedible mushrooms. After they go home, the Mouse delivers the truffles. Bosco is sick because he couldn’t resist eating a bad mushroom.
