Gulf Islands National Park is a fragmented structure, stitched together from a series of islands sandwiched between the urban development of Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia. The park was established in 2003 in order to protect this diverse landscape from recreational development that threatened to overun this natural wonder. The latest high tech equpment is being used to help rare ecosystems fight back against years of misuse.
