Doc sends Shayla to West Virginia to investigate the town of Point Pleasant’s legendary Mothman, a cryptid red-eyed, winged creature. Shayla starts at the Mothman Museum, then meets with historian Craig Hesson. He explains that the false legend of Shawnee leader Chief Cornstalk placing a curse on the town during the Revolutionary War came from a 1921 play that had added this “event” to history. Chief Cornstalk was a wise and peaceful leader. Then she meets with monster hunter Robbie Shaw who tells her more, and Doc concludes with the story of the Mothman accompanied by sand art illustrations.
