Tuarua – Oriori” Circa I500 AD. The story of two brothers on a spiritual journey. When a young pathfinder is chosen for a dangerous quest to find a revered tohunga (priest or sage) living in the hills, a supernatural force beckons his little brother Tiaki to follow him. With his pāke in hand, Tiaki is sure his older brother Tamatea will reunite the tohunga with their chief, allowing him to open the spiritual portal.
‘The Untold Tales of Tuteremoana’, a dramatic Maori anthology series, brings us three ancient oral whakapapa stories of the Ngāi Tara people. Born of the stars and rooted in the homelands of ancient Aotearoa, the series features some of New Zealand’s top Māori actors.
