Rama officers keep body and mind in shape with rigorous exercise and regular training.  Tom praises a helicopter school with a 3-year program open to indigenous people from across Canada. Doug remembers confronting a 70-year-old woman who was using a crowbar to attack one of the casino’s slot machines.  Dave recalls two 80-year-old ladies fist-fighting over whose slot machine it was.  Despite incidents like these, officers maintain the casino has had a positive impact in their community. Tom believes it is important for First Nations peoples to learn about their culture and preserve their traditions.  After 20 years, he still loves the good, the bad and the ugly of his job.
