Shayla goes to Thunder Bay to check out the Ojibwa legend of The Sleeping Giant. This rock formation resembles a man lying down, and Ojibwa people believe it is Nanabijou, the spirit and guardian of deep water. Shayla learns about the geology of the island, and Ed Collins Jr. of the Fort William First Nation tells her some Nanabijou stories and their meaning as told to him by his great grandmother.
