Spirals are all around us: from the Milky Way galaxy to things like a roll of tape, a sticky bun, fire hoses, snail shells and fiddleheads. Skaters spinning in spirals gradually pull their arms in to gain speed. We see Archimedian, hyperbolic, logarithmic, euler, and Fermat's spirals, and Hamza demonstrates a helical spiral using a slinky toy. A mathematician creates a Fibonacci sequence of numbers using squares and shows that the resulting spiral is the same as the shape of our ears or a hurricane.
