Habitats are natural environments that provide food, shelter, protection, and mates for reproduction for particular species and organisms. Plants in water provide oxygen and nutrients for this habitat’s inhabitants. We learn about habitat types, vegetation types, freshwater and marine habitats, terrestrial habitats, climate types, habitat changes including natural and human causes, and microhabitats. Plants are very important for all habitats.
