Lord symington's Castle is a unique interactive math mystery that combines video clips and print material - all the clues your students will need - to solve this engaging and challenging mystery.

This mystery covers the Expressions and Equations domain: Apply and extend previous understandings of arithmetic to algebraic expressions.

The Plot:

More than 100 years ago, Lord Symington hid a fortune – diamonds, gold, and a Rembrandt painting – somewhere within three rooms of his castle. He left clues to the exact location of the riches in each room. But the clues are in the form of math riddles and to date, no one has been able to solve them and locate the treasures. The present-day Symingtons desperately need money or they’ll lose the castle. Using the clues in Lord Symington’s journal, and listening to the riddles, a medieval war story,  a vampire tale and a story about sheep, your students must sift through the information, find the treasures, and rescue the Symingtons from bankruptcy.

The student activities and the workbook help scaffold learners toward grabbing the reward!
