The toddler stage of physical development begins when the little one first discovers walking. The act of walking significantly changes the way the toddler sees and examines the world and manipulates the objects around him. And walking is just one of the many new significant mental and physical abilities a child is developing at this crucial stage. Once ambulatory, children can and do expand their exploration of and experimentation with the world at an astonishing rate.
