A sustainable ecosystem is a natural habitat that can maintain itself without the influence of outside forces. They can easily be disrupted by human activity. Things like toxic chemicals, land re-purposing, water diversion, deforestation all contribute to the destruction of sustainable ecosystems. Humans have a major impact on all natural systems, but we can mitigate those impacts if we are thoughful.
