In 1978, a team of scientists and Inuit representatives engaged in the first of a series of small-scale oil-spill experiments to explore the ecological impact on marine life in northern waters and to determine the most effective clean-up measures. Filmed at Cape Hatt on the northern tip of Baffin Island, this documentary records the first phase of the most ambitious oil-spill study ever undertaken.
